The Isle of Skye is definitely one of the most serene places I’ve been to. A couple of weeks ago, three friends and I skipped class on a Thursday and headed to the Isle of Skye. On our way there, we stopped at the magnificent Stirling Castle and Loch Lomond, which was breathtaking.
After a long drive and nearly killing a few deers, we arrived at our hostel. We stayed in a Star Trek themed caravan, which I thought was cool and pretty bizarre! There was a cosy living room, where we could sit by the fire and play cards.
The following day was jam packed! First of all, we went to the Old Man of Storr, then Trotternish Ridge. Afterwards, we went to the Fairy Glen, which was my highlight of the trip. It was just incredible!
Later on, we went to Dunvegan Castle and Gardens. To our disappointment, the castle was closed, so afterwards we went to the Fairy Pools. Being the clumsy person I am, I got stuck in the mud as we were walking alongside the Fairy Pools. Luckily, my friends were able to rescue me... and my shoe!
We came back Saturday afternoon and an Australian friend and I went to watch the Scotland v. Australia rugby match. Despite being exhausted from the Isle of Skye trip, it was great seeing Australia win!
